Bird Watcher
Today has gone back the normal for Sundays. We had a lovely lie in and a cuddle. We then headed downstairs and got ready for church. As I was getting everything sorted out in the kitchen, I glanced out the window and saw this cat sitting next to the water, watching the coots. I had to take a photo.
We got a lift with one of the ladies who lives in Driebruggen. Little Man loves car journeys and was very happy to be in his booster seat, which I bought a few weeks ago at a jumble sale.
The service went well; given that it followed the standard format (announcements, worship, sermon, coffee and biscuits). Little Man and I spent most of the first part of the service in the kids room. Since the crèche was disbanded, for reasons I still don't understand, the under-4s can either sit with their parents in the service, on a blanket, or various parents take it in turns to look after the rest of the kids during the sermon. Little Man is too energetic to sit still during the sermon or stay with me during the songs, so we usually spent the service in the kids room. If there are other mums who volunteer to stay, then I'll be able to listen, but otherwise I'm with Little Man.
We came home and had a lovely, quiet rest of the day. We've had dinner, and Little Man has just gone to bed. Just before I took him up, I saw that the cat had returned to watching the coots, and thought I'd add the photo as an extra. I've seen the cat before and think it belongs to the neighbours.
