It's another five
star morning - too beautiful
to miss on Sunday

I was out the door at 7:15, kicking myself for sleeping in on this glorious day. I had to make a stop at the grocer's before driving on to Tranquille.

I stopped near the wetlands pond for a panorama of Tranquille and the pond. The water level is up again after several warm days. I found an osprey perched with its eyes on the pond.

I found my friend M out for her morning walk. We had a brief chat while swatting mosquitoes. I guess the spray programme did not get them all.

I drove to the end of the road to look at the osprey nest, but there were no heads visible today. I think I'd already caught the hunter.

I turned around in the driveway of the farm to get a look across the wetlands from a different angle. My mountains in the background seem a hazy blue.

My prize today was finding a heron overlooking the waterways. I could look through the roadside vegetation to catch a peek at it.

My last stop gave me the lovely blue chicory, my favourite summer weed.

I'm home for the day and I'm going to claim it as mine.
