Afales Bay

Every morning here in Ithaca (Ionian Islands, Greece) I was at sunrise but today was rather a nice one. Taken from our balcony overlooking Afales Bay, the low cloud was rolling in over the mountain opposite with some amazing colour hues. 

Nice to go back to bed with a 'blip' in the bag so to speak!

Midday we drove up to Exogi (behind our villa) that is probably the highest village on Ithaca with super views over Afales Bay, the Ionian sea and other greek islands.  The super yacht O'Pari (under the Maltese flag) was moored in Afales where the sea is a 'sapphire gin' colour and the beach only accessible by boat. The extra is a view from Exogi of it - probably a good mile away! 

We enjoyed an iced coffee and lemonade at ET Bar after a visit to Exogi mast where most of the dirt track road up to it has a sheer drop! Mrs BB had seat belt off ready to jump!

We're off out later this evening to a 'sunset' bar-b-cue with our friends, in Lefki. Marco who is having the bbq is known as by many as 'Rocket Man' as his South African company did work on behalf of NASA.. He's quite a character and it'll be a very late night!
