An ordinary life....

Taste the rainbow...

Lunch (hummus and crunchy salad veg wraps) was the only bIt of colour in a day of thick grey clouds and heavy rain.  The garden was grateful for the drenching and D was grateful that he wouldn't have to water the tubs.  Every cloud and all that :-))

It's been a day of getting organised for our holiday.  As we head down the A1 on Monday Alan will be heading up the M6.  Ships that pass in the night.  Or day to be accurate :-)

We finally got around to ordering new luggage.  Two American Tourister suitcases arrived today and mine was certainly a pleasure to pack.  Even with my inability to travel light there's plenty of room left for all my extra bits and bobs.  This is the first holiday in a long time where I won't have the canon camera and kit with me or some art materials, so a little less paraphernalia for D to find space for in the car.

I made Kitchen Sanctuary's
pan fried salmon with creamy lemon orzo for dinner. A trial for possible future entertaining purposes.  It was delicious and I'll certainly make it again.
