Lisbon

Today began with an 03:00 alarm, and a drive to Edinburgh airport. There we were due to take the 06:00 flight to Charles de Gaulle, but waited at the gate for a different Paris flight at the same time. Hence we had to rebook our journey out to the Azores, since we couldn't reach CDG in time to get our original flight. It wasn't cheap, and it cost us a lot of time.

We finally left Edinburgh at 13:30 on a flight that should have left at 11:00. Fortunately we had a long connection in Genève, so we easily caught the flight to Lisbon. Our final flight leaves at 22:15, arriving in Ponta Delgada at 23:45. Then we will see whether we can check in to our accommodation...

Fortunately, someone stayed up for us until 00:30!
