For the family

A sight for sore eyes

My first paid employment was a Saturday and Sunday mornings job in the village garage in Worcestershire, when I was at school. This was my introduction to fancy cars, so to see this in the car park at the sewing session this morning brought back exciting memories!!! It’s owned by the husband of one of the ladies attending. He has had it for 40 years.

A good start to the day.

It got a bit challenging later as I had planned to make a jacket from a pattern bought at a stitching show in the spring. The Pertwee Inverness by Mark Francis. A new one on me and not your traditional paper pattern style of presentation. A bit hard to follow so didn’t achieve as much as expected. I managed to last out until 2.30, then spent some time knitting to recharge the battery.

Home for a rest. It has been another hot day so Amber wasn’t walked until after dinner. A slightly different route and time of day introduced us to several different cats, all black with a couple with white markings. They were very timid.
