An Old Boat (& A Young Cadet)

Once we’d loaded the car for our trip home, we walked down to Mullion Cove harbour for breakfast in the cafe (on the left of the photo).

While we were waiting for it to open, I had the chance to make a photo of the boat and lobster pots on the slipway.

As we were having breakfast, we could see the rain sweeping in from the sea( in true Cornish fashion, an hour earlier we’d been sitting on the lodge decking in glorious sunshine!) and it followed us all the way back to Somerset, where the sun came out again.

Last night, Sophie became a fully fledged Sea Cadet when she took her promise and received her beret. Kate sent us a video of the ceremony and the photo in extras of Sophie looking very proud in her uniform.
