Inside Windsor castle

An exciting day as I went to see the King present the new colours to the regiment my son is now commanding at Windsor castle. Lovely to have good weather and inside the castle it was great to see the bands and the soldiers parading. The new colours were presented by the king who also gave a speech and inspected all the troops. See extra as he was talking to VIPs who were ex soldiers in front row.

After we went to the barracks for a lovely reception…a bit like a big wedding reception. Several marquees, lots of drinks and nice finger food. So warm, we could sit at tables outside on the grass .
Definitely a special day to remember.
