Baby

So…this happened. Went through to Barrow to meet Stu for a coffee this morning. He needed to call into R&T Music to pick up a power supply for his new pedalboard. Whilst he was completing his purchase I had a wander around and spotted this little beauty. I like Taylor guitars and I’ve had a few of their acoustics before, but not this particular model.
It’s a Taylor BT-2 Baby acoustic and the serial number tells me it was made in 2006. But in terrific condition and even came with the original Taylor gig bag, though that did have a few signs of wear. And all for a very reasonable price - a quick trawl through t’internet couldn’t find anything close!
A quick strum to confirm all was good (it was) and the deal was done. It’s small enough to live in the study - which is where I tend to do most of my “noodling” - and I’m sure it will get a fair bit of use.
And - if I use some creative “man maths” - I can say it didn’t actually cost me anything. As you know from yesterday’s blip, I bought a new (to me) watch. But I’d budgeted for buying a brand new one, so in my mind I still had money to spend. A new pair of glasses took up a lot of the slack, but this guitar was at such a good price, I could totally justify it because I still haven’t exceeded the original budget!
In fact there is still a bit “left over”…
