Lose, Win

Still struggling to shake off a cold and another busy day with two bowls matches.

This morning, I travelled to Abergele (pictured) to play for our "A" team. It was a tough match all round. After a terrible start, trailing 16-3, I managed to step up a gear and pull back ten points but ended up losing 21-13.

The "A" team came away with 5 pts - just four winners, and the overall aggregate score was tied at 167 for each team (1pt each).

This afternoon, I played at home for Rhuddlan "B" team. It was another tough game, and the match was neck-and-neck at the start, with the score level at 10 across.  Again I managed to get my head down to pull away, eventually winning 21-15. 

The "B" team had 7 winners out of 10 and clinched 2 points for the aggregate and we are now second in the division table at the half-way point in the season.
