Under fading skies
WEDNESDAY
A very hot, sunny day.
I spent the morning out in the garden, fitting anti-slip strips to the railway sleeper steps at the top of the garden, then gave the wilting plants in the pots and hanging baskets a much-needed soaking.
In the afternoon, I met up with John, a colleague from the bowls team, for coffee and cake in Prestatyn.
Later, I took a walk around the village in the fading light, just before 10 p.m. A convoy of tractors came rumbling down the lane, heading home after a long day’s graft.
