Mission Flats was so calm and serene before 6 AM. I cruised down to the end of the road to get my panorama of the river and delta. 

I stopped beside the usual 'eagle trees' and I was rewarded with one handsome bald eagle. It was facing into the sun so I caught the light in its eye. However, I was too hasty and missed its takeoff over the river. 

On my way back to the bridge I paused for a shot of my mountains in sunshine. There seems to be a bit of haze. I wonder if forest fire smoke is flowing our way. 

I can look forward to a visit with a friend this morning. Then, it's back to the paperwork.
