Trivial question
I spotted this tiny creature on an ox-eye daisy in the wildflower section at the back of our garden, next to another Harlequin ladybird larva.
It could well be a Trivial Plant Bug (Closterotomus trivialis). Apparently these plant bugs are relatively new arrivals to these shores (they were first spotted in 2009) but are spreading quickly.
However, it could also, apparently, be a Lucerne bug (Adelphocoris lineolatus) so, if the experts find these creatures difficult to identify, I don’t feel so bad if I haven’t a clue!
A busy day, involving cleaning the oven and changing bed linen amongst other things, so I’m feeling somewhat virtuous (and weary).
