Got up a wee bit earlier to wave Hazel off on her adventures. Well, I wasn't actually 'up' - I was in my nightie and dressing gown, it being 7am. Luckily, there was nobody else around.
Elizabeth took Archie out - they were visiting Auntie Helen. And so we set off down town - JR wanted to check her Gallery membership and we always like a wee poke around in the Gallery shop.
JR was going on to the ST James centre (depositing used coffee pods in JL). It was raining, so I wandered through to the lift and went up a level, aiming to get to the main doors, thus saving a longer walk in the rain to the bus. And what a good move that was. There was a splendid RSA 2025 exhibition on. Lots of really appealing paintings. I texted JR and said she should have come that way, so she did, then got the tram along to the East End.
It was showery all day, really, but we managed to miss them, but the annual 'Meadows Festival' was not so lucky. In fact, it's usually always wet... Luckily it's not a 'must-see' - just lots of assorted junk, and dodgy food vans. But one year they had dog races. And that was one of the rare sunny ones.
Next two episodes of Clarkson's Farm coming up. More culture.
