Archie and I took a big walk round the Meadows Festival today. It has certainly grown! Last time I was there, a few years ago, it was on two fields, this time it spread over three fields! Amazing. Good to have a sunny day for them. I was very impressed with the food options, not dodgy at all, as I may have inferred yesterday.
Every organisation in town had a stall. You could get face painted, tattooed, have a massage, get your hair braided. In fact, I swithered at the temporary tattoo stall, thinking to get a really awful one on my arm to go back and shock JR.
There were two stages, both with shouty twangy bands when I was there, though it was Scottish music when JR went later, and everybody was dancing.
There was a dog show, and we spotted Hamish in the ring! I found Dan, his dad, and apparently it was the 'Sassy Senior' group. Hamish wasn't taking much of an interest, but I didn't wait to see if he won. If he didn't, then he wuz robbed!
We came home via all the fairground rides. I've never seen so many really wild terrifying whirly ones!
When we came back, I was stuffed, as it had been quite hot and I had a jacket on. I flopped on the sofa, discovered that live cricket was on, and that was me for the afternoon, except that I fell asleep before the end.
JR has been sorting out her wardrobe for our trip. I really need to have a wee sort out too, but there's still tomorrow...
The big poppy in our garden doesn't really last long...
Hazel is safely on board, sailing out of Athens as we speak...
