Nuthatch

This morning at 8.30 there were noises off. The threatened road resurfacing was happening. It seemed to be going very smoothly. There was a huge machine like a silage harvester mincing the old road surface and chucking it out a chute to the trailer in front. A bit backwards as far as farming's concerned but it seems to work for road stuff. I took a pic of the activity and it's in as an extra. The only hitch in their plans was that some twonk* had left a car on the road that they were having to work around.

Marian had an appointment at the hospital this morning, so in view of that I had taken my car and parked it in a nearby last night so there'd be no delay getting out. While Marian was at the hospital I went off for a wander round Stover. As I walked past a notice board I saw there were birds hopping around it all sorts of birds but especially those nice little nuthatches. Somebody had put bird seed  along the top and the birds were loving it.

I walked over a bridge where I had a great view and waited there snapping them. I didn't get a very high hit rate but this little nuthatch came out alright.
