From Cullercoats and Whitley Bay

For some reason I decided to travel south along the coast this afternoon. It was probably seeing 'Cullercoats' on the map and that line from 'Tunnel of Love' came back to me. The song references various places in the area including Spanish City which I recognised by the wonderful dome as I drove past.

It was busy today, being a gorgeous sunny day. I managed to park on the road just to the north of the town and walked along the coast path which is where I took the main blip. I walked a little further an made a pano of the beach and the 19th century grade II listed lifeboat station with its lovely bell tower. I've added that as an extra.
