Another race done

(Sunday).The weather was forecast to be showery, no more downpours like yesterday, but I took the risk of not wearing a waterproof - though we were required to have one - and it was the right decision. Some light showers and quite a lot of sun made quite good running conditions, with a bit of a breeze to cool off in some of the warmer spots.
It was a half marathon with a long uphill, a slightly tricky down, another longish up, a narrow moorland path and a final few miles downhill on good paths. As usual I was at the back (though I think never actually last) but did gain about 4 places. The last 2 weren't far from the end and gained me the chunk of wood in the pic, though I didn't know until the presentation. As this was for 60+ I was pleased I'd made that extra effort!
Once done and fed we packed up and returned home where some unpacking was done and baths had.
A good weekend, if tiring.
