Heading for the hill

See that "pimple" on the horizon? That's where we were heading for, probably about 7 miles to go at this point and not all on such a good track.
Today we ran (separately) the Beinn Dearg Up n Doon, the Munro Beinn Dearg being that pimple.
Mr Rat set off earlier as his original plan was to do another Munro but he thought better of it and just did the shorter route - only 31k instead of 58!
It was hot but with a refreshing breeze on the open bits and pleasant high up but some bits were very hot and airless, especially the steepest climb. But a steady plod, mostly running but some walking on the steepest bits, and a good run back down on a different track got me round in the time I'd guessed at, so pleased with that. Strava tells me there was 1027m of climbing involved, and I wasn't last, at least 4 behind me.
A cold lager and a chickpea and coconut curry (from another of the food stalls) went down very well after I washed and changed.
