Linlithgow Loch
After a successful shopping trip to McArthur Glen Mr Flum suggested returning home the pretty way and we aimed for the hills.
What with the confusing layout of Livingstone and a road closed by a police van (though oncoming traffic seemed to have managed to come through...) we ended up in Linlithgow.
The walk along the loch among geese and swans was pleasant, then a stroll back along the high street, popping into charity shops (a nice tweed jacket - made in China). We returned to the lochside back to the car, passing this pair of Great Crested Grebe displaying courtship behaviour. I was thrilled to watch, never having witnessed this before so was annoyed that I had neither camera nor my own phone. Mr Flum took all these on my behalf (my being Director of Photography, naturally) and captured the scene reasonably well, all things considered.
We came home the more direct way, for a rather late lunch.
