Flower Friday

I cut the larger rose yesterday as it was being so battered by the wind that I was afraid the petals would be ripped off. The opening bud I cut today for much the same reason, although the wind is much less boisterous. Thanks once more to BikerBear for hosting.

Of greater significance is the shelf on which I have displayed them - many years of planning, searching for a suitable piece of beautiful wood (preferably ash), trimmed and finished so well by Tom Cooper at Newbattle and, after much delay, finally installed this afternoon.

I am so looking forward to placing our treasures upon it.
