What a fun guy

I have loads of these fungi popping up from where I have distributed my compost. According to Google search :
The image shows a Sarcosphaera coronaria, also known as the crown fungus, pink crown, or violet star cup. It is a cup-shaped fungus that is often found partially buried in the soil.
It also goes on to say that although it is considered poisonous, it MAY become edible if cooked properly. I don't think I will be trying it for my dinner this evening.
