Marine Theatre
The choir that I sing with took part in a concert this evening at the lovely Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis. The main singers were Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir, but along with a choir from Lyme we were billed as "special guests".
I took this photo inside the theatre before we started. The theatre is literally a stone's throw from the sea.
The concert was in aid of the RNLI's Lifeboat Station in Lyme Regis, and as an (ex ?) diver I really like to support the RNLI. In addition, the lady who takes the weekly swimming sessions that I go to is on the lifeboat crew in Lyme.
I arranged for Ziggy to go to a friend's house for a few hours and then she walked him back to our house and let him in otherwise it would have meant leaving him for too long, which I won't do.
The concert went extremely well and quite a few people from our village came to support us which was really nice.
A friend has just sent me a photo of our choir so that's now in my extras. I'm front row with a bright red sleeveless top. We don't have a uniform as such but are asked to wear a bright top and dark trousers or skirt.
