Grey Heron (and WFW25_07 Results)

I found this rather cross-looking grey heron on the riverbank this morning as I walked through the reserve on my way into town.  As you can see, the online forecast, which last night was still predicting a day of dark cloud, was completely wrong, it's been beautiful if rather windy at times.  A lovely incident on my walk was seeing two old friends I probably haven't talked to for 10 years.  It's very odd the way we can discard people completely accidentally and it's not until you see them again you ask yourself 'why?'

The rest of the day has been pretty peaceful, which I'm really grateful for, though I have cleaned the kitchen and finished strimming the grass.  And yes, I'm definitely looking forward to an early night.
