Prynhawn Heulog ~ Sunny Afternoon

“The only way death is not meaningless is to see yourself as part of something greater: a family, a community, a society. If you don’t, mortality is only a horror. But if you do, it is not.”
― Atul Gawande, (p126, '5 A Better Life' , 'Being Mortal', Profile Books, ISBN 978-1846685828)

Cawson ni ymweliad o Richard a'i phlant heddiw. Mae hi wedi bod amser hir ers i ni wedi eu gweld. Rydyn ni'n siŵr bod y plant yn dalach. Trwy'r hudol o'r rhyngrwyd roedden ni'n gallu rhannu lluniau o'n teithiau. Roedd hi'n dda i weld lluniau o'u taith gwersylla, ac roedden ni'n gallu eu dangos lluniau o'n taith gogledd Cymru. Gwnaethon ni archwilio'r ardd a siarad am blanhigion. Ac yna gwnaethon ni chwarae gemau. Mae'r plant yn hoffi chwarae 'Canlyniadau (Consequences)', y ddau gyda lluniau a gyda geiriau. Roedd hi'n dda iawn i weld sut maen nhw'n gallu ysgrifennu a darllen (a chwyno am fy ysgrifeniad). Roedd llawer o chwerthin.

We had a visit from Richard and her children today. It's been a long time since we've seen them. We're sure the children are taller. Through the magic of the internet we were able to share photos from our travels. It was good to see pictures of their camping trip, and we were able to show them pictures of our north Wales trip. We explored the garden and talked about plants. And then we played games. The children like to play 'Consequences', both with pictures and with words. It was really good to see how they can write and read (and complain about my writing). There was a lot of laughter.
