Peachy Promise
Starting to ripen on our single tree, but like last year, some fungus on the leaves, which I picked off, hoping we get at least a few good fruit.
Terribly hot day, especially as it's only June, sorry, May! felt like 38C because of the humidity. Determined to finish pruning the very overgrown roses, felt almost like sunstroke by the time I'd finished, and several more punctures on my arms. Also pruned the tangerine, which has no fruit at all this year, wonder why? And a few other overgrown bushes.
Mike has been working on making a roof for over the caravan; at least there's been enough sun for the electricity for the welder.
Gratefuls:
- the absolute bliss of a cold outdoor shower to wash away the sweat and blood
- the absolute luxury of air con for naptime
- Mike putting new handles on a basket I store my sewing stuff in, that was made by the Sateré Maué Indians where I lived as a child (though I got this basket when I visited in my Uni days)
