Morning Garden

The result of my labours the last few days - you can see the few pink roses I left, and the trunk of the tangerine tree on the left, and the rosemary hedge on the right - think I might trim that even more. Netting over the clay pot, to stop mosquitoes breeding. I love that we've created this shady green oasis on what was a dry and dusty hillside a few years ago. Planning to extend it a little more when we get back; bought the extra fence posts when we were in Spain the other day.

Gratefuls:
- that "my creative project" arrived safely in Sutton; it was a book I made, with Mike's practical help, of Eden's visit here, using photos and quotes from some books she knows, to help her process it all; it actually helped me process it as well.. and that she loved being the main character in a book
- that it cools off at night, another scorcher today
- Paul ringing up after a sociable evening at No. 8, and watching Sofía really chatting to Felicity
