Chewing the fat...
I've had a fairly constructive day that will mean nothing to anyone else but makes me happy :-)
When we turned the office into my little studio we moved my desk in front of the window and I cleared out all the drawers to make way for my art supplies. D continued to use his desk once or twice a month for household admin.
Of course my art materials began to take up more and more space and poor D eventually relocated to use my grandpa's writing desk in the living room. This let me use his desk for mounting paintings and more recently, acrylic painting. But the desk drawers were still full of his stuff.
Running out of room for my things, this afternoon I had an epiphany. A few simple changes. Moving the printer to another table and moving the art materials from that table to where the printer was, makes the materials much more accessible to me. I also cleared out the six drawers in D's desk and consolidated his things into two drawers (filling a bin bag with rubbish in the process) freeing up four drawers for me.
I don't know why it's taken me so long to think to do this but I suppose necessity is the mother of invention :-)
The sun was shining and there was an outdoor job I wanted to do before the rain returned so I left the study still in a state of disarray and will complete that job tomorrow.
D and I then headed to the side garden and spent a bit of time threading the winter jasmine through the pergola. It has really sprouted over the last month and was looking very untidy. The pair in my blip were having a good old chin wag :-)
