Let's Go Fly A Kite

Becky and Mike did a Parkrun this morning near Bedale.  While they were away Astrid and I got dressed, had our breakfast and watched some TV.

When the runners got home we learned that Mike was 5th and Becky was 10th (2nd lady)

After they had showered etc we set off for Richmond.  There was a funfair in town so the place was busy.  We looked in some of the little independent shops and a couple of charity shops.  I bought Astrid two Paw Patrol figures in a charity shop.  She was delighted as she loves Paw Patrol. We stopped off for coffee at the Town Hall pub.

Next we drove to The Travellers Rest in Skeeby for lunch.  We all had sandwiches with salad and crispy potato skins.

Then back to Northallerton... Becky and Mike went food shopping in M & S and Astrid and I went to the park.  Astrid went on everything. Jumping, swinging, climbing, bouncing and running everywhere.  My blip shows a Dad flying a kite.  He got it going high and then his little girl took over.  It was windy so the kite flew quite well.  Astrid now wants a rainbow kite!

I think the dark trees in my blip are copper beech.  There are a lot of them in the park and they are lovely.

Then it was back home to watch the footie. Sunderland v Sheffield United in the Championship play off.  Sunderland won. Even though I'm a Newcastle supporter and Sunderland are our local rivals I'm happy that they will be promoted to the Premiership.  Looking forward to the derby matches.

Later on I started feeling unwell and was sick.  Mike cooked home made lasagne for the evening meal but I thought it best to have nothing.  Feeling much better now and hopefully in the morning I will fancy some breakfast.
