ASTRID

I was expecting Becky, Mike and Astrid to arrive today so I had to sort out my bedroom so that they could sleep there.  Moved my bedding etc to a spare bedroom and made the bed for my visitors. ( Astrid was bringing her own Peppa Pig blow up bed. ) Then I did some hoovering and tidying.

They arrived around 5.45pm.  They had driven up from Sussex having set off at around 10am.  I had a box of toys ready for Astrid so she settled down to play while the rest of us had some coffee and a catch up.  Then Mike walked down to the village and came back with fish and chips.

After the meal we relaxed and chatted and then it was time for Astrid to go to bed.  Becky and Mike followed soon after.  They are leaving in the morning at around 8.30am and driving into Newcastle, parking the car and then getting a train to Edinburgh.  Staying in a hotel for a couple of nights.  Mike is running in the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday.

So todays blip is Astrid. She's sitting on her fluffy Peppa Pig chair.  I got it for her to use when she visited at New Year and its made another appearance today. She loves it.

No time for comments tonight but I will try and catch up tomorrow.
