Robin

……………………………..I didn’t see Batman on the prom this afternoon but I did see Robin in a dress!

The wee one slept until 7.30 this morning though I’d probably tossed and turned from about 5am…perched as I was on the edge of the bed not wanting to disturb him as he took up two thirds of it! We started the morning with some rousing hymn singing with the help of YouTube…Give me oil in my lamp; One more Step and Shine Jesus Shine. He’d learned them for a church service held last week to celebrate the school being either 3 or 4 hundred years old…he goes to a Church of England school (despite neither of the boys having a religious bone in their bodies) and he loves teaching us what he’s learned. I think he was surprised to find Gran knew most of the words…it’s just a pity she can’t actually sing!

A surprise message this afternoon from my friend L who visited earlier this week…her and her partner have been walking the Northumberland coastline in dribs and drabs for the last year or two and had walked from Goswick to Spittal this afternoon and were sitting in the pub. So I joined them then walked back along the prom with them as they retraced their steps back to their car…I did offer them a lift but they opted to walk.

We had a shower of rain during the night which was very welcome in the garden and it’s been a surprisingly warm day despite it being very breezy and mostly cloudy.
