Some day you’ll win James!
Another day of recovery. I tried a few of the knee muscle exercises but they gave quite a bit of pain.
I finished “James” and read a bit more of the art book.
Mr C has hit a problem with painting one of the walls as the undercoat is showing in patches through the topcoat and some looks streaky. He’s an experienced decorator - he thinks it was the product underneath that’s causing things not to adhere. Bathroom Chris is coming on Tuesday to finish off so he’s going to ask him to take off the radiator so that he can get behind properly to try to solve the problem. The other issue is that the dark blue topcoat is a bit too bright against the tiles so we are now thinking we might have to cut our losses and go back to having grey/white. A lot more work but may as well get it right.
In the afternoon we came down to Whitley Bay. The boys had gone off on their bikes to the swimming pool. I’m so impressed that at age 12 and 10 they can do this by themselves. They arrived home in time for tea -Phil made Pasta Norma then he took Sandy the dog to her carer - a volunteer who likes dogs but doesn’t want to own one. Sandy loves her so it’s much better than the expensive doggie day care.
Here’s James trying to beat his mum at arm wresting. The school is suggesting he be tested for autism and ADHD. The waiting list is 2 years but if it happens before high school it would be helpful as they’d make allowances for his little quirks. (If he has it, it’s quite mild I think, but he does find some new situations challenging. For instance going on holiday is difficult, adjusting to the strange surroundings etc.)
