Hahn/Cock

Thought I'd go see the new statue in Trafalgar Square today - this is one that changes every so often, and I love this latest installation. It's so blue, the detail is fantastic (look at the tail feathers!), and it just looks great against the London skyline, Nelson's Column etc. By a German artist and called Hahn/Cock the newspapers have had fun with their articles - the obvious sniggering at the name, and glee at such a French symbol in a square dedicated to Britain's victory over Napoleon.

You may see some more blips of this - I think it'll be around for 18 months. D would call it a cock-a-do. I like that name :)
