Porlock Weir
The last day of my painting holiday was spent at Porlock Weir. After watching one final demo from the tutor, Paul Weaver, most of us settled in a harbour area through the lock gates at the left to paint. It was a challenge as at the start the channel was dry, but by the end of the session the tide had come in giving reflections, not to mention the changing shadows move around (extras). Still it was pleasant sitting in the warm sun with gentle breeze, and a great end to the formal part of my break.
I have just two more nights in Exmoor in a B&B before heading home.
