Watersmeet

Today I took a mini driving tour across Exmoor starting at the ancient monument of Tarr Steps, the longest clapper bridge in Britain marking a fording point across the River Barle, and ending at Lynmouth with fish and chips on the beach and views of the harbour at low tide (extras). I also found time to take the highest and steepest water-powered cliff railway in the world up to Lynton, taking the zig-zag footpath back down.

Coffee and lunch was taken at Watersmeet where the East Lyn River joins the Hoar Oak Water before continuing down to the sea at Lynmouth. Both rivers have waterfalls; this one is on the East Lyn River.

It's been a good week as tomorrow I head home.
