Bank holiday

Swam, and it was quiet as it's a bank holiday. Then I left my house keys at the pool, which caused some anxiety, though not as much as the woman who pranged her car outside ,Margiotta. And I got my keys back. I was at Margiotta as I had a hankering for a bacon road. I see that I had the same breakfast last May Bank Holiday. Is it becoming a tradition?

Did some this and that and before I knew what time it was it after 11 and Woman's Hour was finished. I'd sat in the sewing cave and sewed, for once

It was not a bad day, not to cold, so I repaired to the garden. Fed the lawn with my new spreader, potted up some more pots and watered them. The ground is very dry.

After lunch I got the lounger out and set up to enjoy the sun and blue skies. Would have been even better if the guy over the back hadn't been sawing and grinding. Goodness knows what he's making. I sewed and fed and watered the lawn. I'd watered the pots and the front earlier. Though it said it be was 13 in my sheltered south facing garden it felt much warmer.

Went in after 6 and watched the news and tried not to get too cynical about the overload of VE stuff. I'll maybe share tomorrow.

Watched SHOTY and then The Commitments. There was still light on the sky and a half moon when I came up.

Found David Dimbleby's accurate statements about Ukraine and WW2 refreshing in a sea of treacle.
