Simple things are precious.
Apparently it is 7 years today since I began my Blipfoto journal!
I never thought when Blipper Rainette encouraged me to join, that I would still be here today.
I’ve been looking back through it this morning.
No surprises to see that a lot of it contains my garden. My safe unwinding space.
I have met some lovely people and found this place to be encouraging and warm. It’s like having friends in other parts of the world.
Many many thanks to the team who keep Blip functioning and safe, and who let me know 3 days ago that this “birthday” would be coming up!
So I’ve posted a photo of some of the pebbles I keep in a basket in the summerhouse and some in a pot on our hearth.
They are all special in some way.
The 4 grandchildren each painted one several years back now, and others are from the Lizard, being serpentine polished stone, which is quite an art. Some from the beach when we are there on our annual (sometimes twice yearly now), holiday.
The last time we flew anywhere was back in 2018! The year of my 70th birthday.
And up to this point in time we have no desire to fly at all.
So much harder since Brexit and the hassle and delays seem to have become worse.
(I know there will be exceptions to that all the same.)
So thankyou again Blip and thankyou to those who follow my journal.
I’ll just end with a wellknown quote by Mary Ann Radmacher
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’”
