We’ll gather lilacs in the Spring again…….

…..and walk together down an English lane…..
A change in the weather once more.
Much cooler today with a chilly wind, and cloudy.
We went out not long after breakfast for our morning walk.
Ended up in the usual place for a coffee, and sat in the annexe, which is completely open at one end giving access to the enclosed field space outside.
There were one or two hardy folks out there sitting at the picnic benches having brunch and some young children enjoying themselves chasing about the field, as they do!
Back Holiday weekend.
The main bistro was packed as usual and always quite noisy. It is more to do with the accoustics and it not being very large,
The staff have got used to seeing us as I’ve had my “”coffee breaks” on my walks. First with two crutches, and now down to one, eventually with neither.
This time for the second time!
The first time was in winter!
I must say I prefer recovering in Spring!
Less heavy clothing and boots!
As a record of how much having the two hip operations have helped me, (one in November and the other 8 weeks ago yesterday), my average number of step counts for the first 4 months of this year is already equal to the whole of last year’s!
I only log the steps which I walk.
It just shows how difficult I was beginning to find walking without pain in 2024. Thinking it was my back which was causing it.
I took the photo of the lilac which is near to the entrance to the Bistro, as we left to walk the rest of the way back to the car.
Stephen is doing much better today. Being out in the fresh air helps.
Hope most of you have a good Bank Holiday weekend, or as good a one as is possible.

All the main news here is
“The times they are a’changing…..”
Remains to be seen what happens next…

Turbulent days for the world order.
