Inside looking outside……
After a really busy day on Saturday with a walk and then gardening, I felt quite tired yesterday Sunday.
But I got my act together later on that day, to go to a 30th birthday Afternoon Tea at our friend Karen’s. Her daughter was hosting the gathering, along with her husband and their 14 month old son. She had decided that she would have one here for all her friends in this area to celebrate her 30th milestone. They live in Winchester.
So Karen had a house full for a few days, as the birthday girl’s brother and his partner also arrived to stay the weekend from Wales!
Stephen dropped me off at 4.00pm.
Karen didn’t have to sort out all the food it had all been done beforehand by her daughter. And the house was decorated with lots of photos and suitable banners.
It was good to meet up with them all and all the usual familiar faces of their friends.
But by 6:00pm I was pleased that I had said to Stephen to collect me again. The party was finishing at 7:00pm so that the little one’s bedtime bath and routine were not disrupted,
Karen had put a plate of party food together for Stephen, including two scones cream and jam,
He enjoyed it after we arrived home,
I have to say I was so tired I fell asleep on the settee.
Today has been a slow day!
I have been touched to see all your hearts and stars on my 7 years of blips yesterday, Thankyou once again!
I’ll include a photo of me and Karen, our friend of many years who comes to dinner after work on Tuesday’s, in extras.
We were standing chatting in her kitchen when her son came in and took the picture!
I watched some of the VE Day coverage on TV. on playback this afternoon.
We do pomp and ceremony very well.
It has been a cold day so I haven’t set a foot outside and have not long put the living flame fire on.
Once again I will avoid the news……from certain quarters.
