Stuff and Nonsense

Bittern #48

Well, it was time to say goodbye to Yorkshire and our friends until next year after what has been a fabulous week.
Last night the girls ruled supreme and took the first 3 places in the Ave Caesar game, which is the first time in 32 years that it has happened.

We left for Cumbria again, retracing our steps from last Saturday in reverse and paid a short visit to Foulshaw Moss before having a lovely lunch at the Hare and Hounds in Levens. We spent the rest of the afternoon at Leighton Moss and had a fabulous time.
With 3 fly pasts by a Bittern, a fishing Osprey and mating Great crested grebes right in front of the new Lower Hide it was very successful. Some more shots in extras - Osprey with fish, Swan Moth caterpillar, Orange Tip butterfly and the grebes.
