..and yet more bluebells

Wilsden Walker picked me up at 8.00 am to head over to Hardcastle Crags, which is a wooded National Trust estate just above Hebden Bridge, for a delightful woodland walk.
The main reason was to see yet more bluebells which were of course lovely but the fresh new growth greening up the trees alongside Hebden Water were equally delightful - extra

This field of bluebells was skirted from above on the outward journey but the full glory is seen here from below, which we passed on our return down the waterside through Gibson Mill.

It was a bit cloudier and cooler first thing this morning but the sun reappeared by lunch time and I’ve just come in after a hot hour in the back garden. A bit of weeding and cutting back the woods bits of last years plants, especially fuchsias as the new growth comes through. Also I’ve been removing all the spent crocus and snowdrop leaves. We wait so long for them through the bleak winter months and suddenly they’ve been and gone. The same will apply to the bluebells, long anticipated and so soon over, so great to have had the chance to appreciate them three days running in 3 different stunning locations.

Happy Friday everyone and bank holiday weekend in UK
