May Bluebell walk

in St Ives woods.
Last week I was sad to miss a bluebell walk instead of our usual early Thursday circuits but they did it again today and declared that the bluebells were even better!
They are dotted about throughout the wooded estate but tge main concentration is the band of woodland between the inner lane and Altar Lane on the edge of the estate.
6 ladies and a man, no dogs, did a lovely circuit amongst them. You may spot some of them, including two blippers, on the edge of the top right hand picture which is why I’ve included it. As well as the lovely blue flowers the light was fabulous through the trees this morning with lots of fresh greens too.

Can’t promise you won’t get more, I’ve been invited to go to Hardcastle Crags ( NT above Hebden Bridge) tomorrow morning for another bluebell walk. Can’t get enough of them while they last.

Posting early as we are off to a Ilkley cinema soon to see The Penguin Lessons. You can’t predict the weather when you book two weeks in advance but having had an hour weeding in the very hot garden I’m happy to go and sit somewhere a bit cooler this afternoon.
