Kirkcudbright Marina
Today's the day ...................... to stay put
I was in Kirkcudbright this evening for a talk at Broughton House by NTS Regional Curator, Antonia Laurence Allen. It was an excellent talk too which I much enjoyed. The good thing was that after it finished, it was still light outside and so I had a walk down to the harbour, where everything was beginning to turn pink as the sun set.
The tide was out and so the boats in the marina downstream in the estuary of the River Dee, were very low in the water. They would probably have to wait until the tide turned, before they would be able to sail away. But I don't suppose anyone was in any hurry to go anywhere.
It was a peaceful end to another lovely sunny day ...................
