Cno1 proud to repair the car
Junior parkrun first thing and over 70 participants. A good turnout and all very happy to be there. I enjoyed the barcode scanning role.
Coffee and chat with C and A - then off to rowing. We met early to do the annual safety check on the life jackets. Thankfully it did not involve jumping in the river with them on as A suggested. :)
The row was perfect. We did an anticlockwise row around Northey. I sat in 3. Then I coxed on the inside of the island, over the causeway past 2 smacks and navigated safely past a fleet of lasers and optimists racing from the sailing club. My first shot at cox, and pleased to have been given the opportunity. Then I sat in stroke, again for the first time - I was proud to be asked and, without being immodest, I was pleased that I did a good job.
We enjoyed a 'free cider' in the Little Ship afterwards (thanks to a promotional voucher) before heading home for the evening meal.
Blip photo shared by Cno1 during a family chat and welcome catch-up. Her grandad would have been proud.
A fab day
