PABI CYMRAEG (WELSH POPPY - Meconopsis cambrica)

A busy day just doing tidying and ironing etc, but really needed doing.

I popped into the garden and boy was it hot so I didn't stay long.  I saw this Welsh Poppy and thought it made a lovely bright blip.  I looked it up to find the difference between a Welsh Poppy and a Californian Poppy and found it very interesting.  Apparently the Caliornian Poppy as more petals and are generally more orange.  This is a Welsh one because it has 4 overlapping petals on a thin stem!!!

Decided to catch up with "Who Do You Think You Are" this afternoon, as I've missed teh new series - only two so far.  The first one is Andrew Garfield, an actor famous for many roles apparently, especially Spiderman.  It is very powerful stuff and goes back to his Polish Jewish heritage,, very tear jerking stuff, but still important to know these things.
