ULVERSTON
Took Garron to Ulverston this morning. Lovely morning, weather was gorgeous and quite a few people around but not crowded so really good.
Started off, as usual, in Gillam's for coffee then had a wander around our favourite shops, the second-hand book stall in the Indoor Market and had a wander up the town, checked out a Barbers for Rob now the The Shearing Shed in Grange is no more.
I didn't take my Nikon with me today, too heavy to carry around, so I used the Samsung. I really must learn how to use this to better effect, but it's not too bad.
As you can see Ulverston are flying colourful flags at the moment. This is part of the town's annual Flag Fortnight celebration, which is a way to welcome spring and showcase the town's creativity. This event involves local residents, businesses, and creative individuals participating in the display of colorful flags throughout the town and always looks so splendiferous.
By now Garron was getting somewhat dizzy so we had a seat then headed back to the car. We decided to call into Harry's Bar on the way home as I haven't been in an age. It seems to have changed quite a bit. No specials on the board, except some few and just a general breakfast and then lulnch menu. Mind the food is still excellent but sadly they no longer do the rarebit's that we were hoping to get or sandwiches. We had a walk around the whole of the shop but boy is it extremely expensive - lovely though.
Then just came home.
That's it for today - do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
