Well Earned Rinse

SUNDAY

A lovely warm and sunny day.

We headed over to Rhyl for a nice lunch at the 1891 Restaurant, where we were lucky to get a table with a fantastic sea view. 

There was plenty to watch—from families enjoying the beach to the steady flow of people along the promenade. The highlight, though, was seeing both the inshore and offshore RNLI lifeboats out on exercise, right in front of us.

I blipped the mobile slipway (used for the offshore lifeboat) last month , but today I got to see it in action. We watched as the lifeboat returned from its exercise and was hauled back up to the lifeboat station for a well-earned rinse after its salty shift at sea.
