Caerwys

MONDAY

I did a few jobs in the garden this morning but had to break off and head over to the nearest pharmacy (4.5 miles away) in Caerwys to buy some anti-histamine cream for Prue who had been stung by a wasp.

Caerwys is the smallest town in Britain to have been granted a Royal Charter, awarded by King Edward I in 1290. With a population of 1200, it has more of a village feel but offers a range of facilities, including shops, a post office, pharmacy, pubs, cafes, and an art gallery showcasing contemporary Welsh art and crafts.

This afternoon, I headed down to the bowling green for some much needed practice ahead of tomorrow's league match. I spent the best part of an hour with Mike who is new to crown green bowling and is looking to join the club.
