RED MASON BEE (OSMIA BICORNIS)

Not a great night's sleep last night, no particular reason just one of those nights that I actually haven't had for a while, so can't complain.

I've just spent the morning working on some of the photos I took whilst in Fife (the non wedding ones).  They're just good holiday snaps really because I wasn't in the frame of mind for photography, but at least I did use my camera.

Saw this on the apple blossom today and on checking Google Lens it tells me it's a very common bee, well I have to admit I've never heard of a mason bee before, lef alone a red one - apparently due to  the hairs on its body being a gingery colour!!!??

I thought he lok lovely and goldy in the bit of sunshine we've had today.

Also wanted to say a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL WHO RAN THE LONDON AND MANCHESTER MARATHON'S YESTERDAY.  I know our MP Tim Farron completed the London Marathon for our local Mental Health Charity called Growing Well and my lovely Artist friend Carolyn Edwards also completed the London Marathon for her local charity in Haworth, Yorkshire called RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association).  AMAZINGLY WELL DONE TO BOTH, especially as it was so very hot there.

That's all from me for now - do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
