I managed a couple of rounds to the Links today, the second one when JR had gone to the supermarket. I met Mary, in a wheelchair, with an carer, out and about on quite a pleasant day.
I then spent quite a long time trying to buy a senior railcard. For we are planning a trip... involving trains. And a railcard is a no-brainer. We had one years ago, and used it several times. Archie even quite likes trains. But when I went to buy one, it evidently remembered me, and my password, which I did not, and it was before I got very efficient at writing down passwords. That railcard had long ago expired, and so I assumed I'd just get a new one. I tried several times, and they said they'd send me a link to 'reset my password'. That link did not come. I contacted admin help, as instructed, and was told they'd be in touch within 10 days... I had to leave it and take Archie out again to calm down.
However, in a weak moment, I tried again later, but this time I managed to log in and put in a new password, which was accepted! And then I was also able to buy JR's railcard too.
We're watching Louis Theroux's rather shocking programme 'The Settlers'. I actually watched it yesterday, but JR wanted to see it. Everybody should see it.
Here's that splendid map in the cafe. I don't know what year the map is, but not all of area has been built, though our flat is there.
